As part of the lecture series organized by the Université Euromed de Fès, Professor Philippe Tanguy was the guest this Wednesday, December 6th, to discuss the role of hydrogen in decarbonizing the economy.
Director of Strategy for the HTEC Group - Quebec, Associate Professor at Polytechnique Montréal, and a member of the Hassan II Academy of Science and Technology, Prof. Tanguy presented the main global trends in the green economy, particularly those related to hydrogen.
The lecture was an opportunity to highlight the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) set by the United Nations to define the specific roles of engineering and technology in the field of renewable energy.
Professor Tanguy used the opportunity during this meeting to describe how a low-carbon footprint economy can be built. He also presented a set of practical resources and strategies that lead to the production of low-carbon hydrogen.
This lecture generated a constructive exchange that aligns harmoniously with the national strategy related to climate change and the use of green energy, in which the university is strongly involved.
