UEMF was selected following an international call for tenders to be a member of the international consortium of eleven Francophone institutions that will work to achieve gender equality on their campuses. The consortium's objective is to "Achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls".
The consortium operates collaboratively and participatively, focusing on sharing and pooling resources. The work will take place over one year, from June 2021 to June 2022.
