Euromed University of Fes (UEMF) has always placed innovation, research, and entrepreneurship at the heart of its academic mission. It is within this dynamic that the Euromed Innovation Center (EIC) operates—a space dedicated to transforming ideas into concrete projects with high socio-economic impact. A true incubator for entrepreneurial initiatives, the EIC supports students, researchers, and young project leaders through all stages of developing their ideas, from the ideation phase to the creation of viable and sustainable businesses. By leveraging a complete ecosystem combining mentorship, training, personalized support, and access to a broad network of partners, the EIC plays a key role in realizing UEMF's vision: to make Moroccan and Euro-Mediterranean youth a driving force for innovation and sustainable development.
Through the words of Ms. Ghada Bouhlal, Director of Socio-Economic Partnerships and Entrepreneurship, the spirit of the center can be summed up in one sentence: "Welcome to the Euromed Innovation Center, a place of inspiration, creativity, and support for tomorrow's entrepreneurs. Our mission is to transform innovative ideas into sustainable projects with high socio-economic impact." Under her leadership, the EIC asserts itself as an open, collaborative, and inclusive space, where youth is placed at the center of priorities. The focus is on applied research, interdisciplinary cooperation, and the collective as a lever for success. Every incubated project is considered an opportunity for growth, transformation, and contribution to regional and national development.
The primary mission of the Euromed Innovation Center is to accompany emerging talents and support the creation of innovative businesses. The center offers three complementary pathways: Ideation: encouraging the generation and validation of ideas through workshops, creativity sessions, and mentorship.
Incubation: offering technical and strategic support to selected projects, including prototyping, market study, and business model development.
Acceleration: supporting high-potential startups in their growth, funding, and market access strategies.
Thanks to this integrated approach, the EIC is not limited to a simple workspace: it is a true catalyst for innovation, serving research, entrepreneurship, and social impact.
Since its creation, the Euromed Innovation Center has established itself as an essential player in Morocco's entrepreneurial ecosystem. The numbers speak for themselves: 143 projects supported and mentored
53 women entrepreneurs supported
Over 675 hours of training delivered
10 ideation and incubation programs deployed
28 legally established incubated startups
13 startups selected and presented at GITEX Africa
Over 600 people made aware of entrepreneurship
These indicators reflect not only the vitality of the center but also its structuring role in training the country's future economic and social actors.
By fostering the meeting of academic research and entrepreneurial innovation, the EIC actively contributes to building a dynamic and sustainable regional ecosystem. Its approach aligns with UEMF's Euro-Mediterranean vision: encouraging collaboration between universities, businesses, and public institutions to create a bridge between knowledge and the market. Through its programs, modern infrastructure, and partner network, the Euromed Innovation Center stands as a model of success and transformation, placing UEMF among the universities most committed to innovation and entrepreneurship in Morocco and the region.
