Under the suggestive title “photography today: what view of society?” A rich meeting was held on March 9, 2023, at the university's art gallery, initiated by the EUROMED-ICESCO Chair "Arts, Societies and Civilizations".
The participants in this meeting, professors Thami Benkirane, Fouad Brigui and Abderrahman Tenkoul, highlighted, through their communications and in the exchange with students and teacher-researchers, what makes the strength of photographic art in Morocco, namely: the search for detail and the banal as places of expression of underground visions which outline the invisible mutations that our society is experiencing.
This event also represents an opportunity to reflect on the importance of common visual memory and to question a number of aspects linked to the history, perspectives and aspirations of this art.
