The Euro-Mediterranean Innovation Camp (EMIC) held its semi-final elimination phase today, with 4 young “innovators” having now reached the final of the competition!

Over the last two months, the 6 preselected candidates were hosted either in the workshops of the Euro-Mediterranean University (EMUNI) and the Jožef Stefan Institute in Slovenia, or at the Euro-Mediterranean University of Fez (UEMF ) in Morocco, where they benefited from technical assistance and mentoring from subject matter experts, experienced engineers, product developers and designers, and innovation experts. Today, at the EMUNI premises, the candidates who were not able to present a functional prototype or validate that their future products are necessary on the market, were eliminated by a jury composed of 3 members .

The 4 finalists are Georgios Paliouras (Greece), specialized in renewable energies, and Jihene Nouairi (Tunisia), Laila Mahmoud (Egypt) and Patricija Ham (Slovenia), specialized in the environment and climate change.

They will participate on June 8 in the EMIC final during the celebration of the 15th anniversary of EMUNI, in front of an audience, to present their prototypes. The event will be broadcast live at the following address: and you can vote!
