9th Ministerial Conference "Environment for Europe": Prof. Maha Gmira presents the vision of Euromed University of Fes and its commitment to achieving the SDGs

Prof. Maha Gmira presented the vision of Euromed University of Fes and its deep commitment to achieving the SDGs and extending the new Mediterranean Action Plan on Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) towards 2030 at the 9th Ministerial Conference "Environment for Europe". This conference addressed two themes: "Green economy in the pan-European region: working towards sustainable infrastructure" and "Applying circular economy principles to sustainable tourism". A ministerial declaration was also adopted on this occasion.

Organized by the Republic of Cyprus with the support of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE), this event was an opportunity to advance the agenda of the Mediterranean Strategy for Education for Sustainable Development, in line with the guidance of the UfM and the Mediterranean Strategy for Sustainable Development (MSSD) (2016-2025) of the Barcelona Convention.

• Improve the enabling conditions for the proper implementation of the MSSD.
• Propose a set of common institutional/non-thematic programs/projects.
• Highlight priority thematic issues for regional programs.
• Propose progress and monitoring indicators.
