Euromed Faculty of Dental Medicine and the AMPBD: Meeting for the benefit of Dental Medicine students

The Euromed Faculty of Dental Medicine (FEMD), an establishment of the Euromed University of Fez, and the Moroccan Association of Oral-Dental Prevention (AMPBD) met with students of Dental Medicine for a first awareness-raising meeting this Friday September 15, 2024.
As part of the activities of the integration week, the Euromed Faculty of Dentistry welcomed, this Friday, September 15, 2024, the Moroccan Association of Oral-Dental Prevention (AMPBD) within the UEMF Eco-campus. This meeting allowed new students of the Faculty to discover good practices related to oral health as well as effective prevention measures. This meeting was also an opportunity to introduce our future doctors to the importance of their involvement in associative work.
During this meeting, a detailed presentation of the actions of the AMPBD was unveiled, highlighting promising initiatives such as prevention actions, dental caravans, awareness campaigns, educational programs as well as targeted actions in the schools and establishments in the city of Fez in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Social Protection.
Then, two enriching workshops were organized during this event with the participation of AMPBD doctors from the city section of Fez, Larache and Berkane. The first workshop addressed oral health as a whole, highlighting the importance of regular care and preventative measures to maintain good long-term health. The second workshop focused on the different methods of tooth brushing, highlighting the importance of good oral hygiene for the health of the individual.
At the end of this meeting, the Euromed Faculty of Dental Medicine and the Moroccan Association of Oral Prevention (AMPBD) signed a strategic partnership agreement. This Agreement aims to establish a lasting partnership between the AMPBD and the EUROMED Faculty of Dentistry in all scientific, social and solidarity activities promoting the common contribution of both parties to continuing education and allowing students to integrate the associative work and to participate in the various activities of the AMPBD.
The signing ceremony was marked by eloquent words, notably those of Pr. Salim Bounou, Vice-President in charge of Research-Innovation and Partnership, of Pr. Chakib Nejjari, Vice-President of the Health Center, of Pr. Amal Ouazzani Chahdi, Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry and Dr. Rabi, President of the AMPBD who expressed their enthusiasm about this fruitful collaboration.
