The UEMF, a catalyst for innovation in Agritech

Miscellaneous announcements

The Euromed University of Fez (UEMF) affirms its central role in the transformation of the agricultural sector by welcoming the steering committee of the Regional Pole of Innovation and Entrepreneurship (PRIE) Agritech. This meeting, held within the Euromed Innovation Center, marked a decisive step for the Agritech project “Tamkin Li Tanmia”. It made it possible to take stock of the progress made, while strengthening synergies between startups and stakeholders in the cluster. Technology demonstrators have also been deployed to support farmers in the Fez-Meknes region, thus facilitating the adoption of digital solutions on the ground.

A strategic partnership for a connected agricultural future

Thanks to the support of the French Development Agency (AFD), the PRIE aims to democratize the use of digital technologies in the service of agriculture. The objective is to respond to current challenges in the sector: improve yields, encourage agritech entrepreneurship and promote more sustainable and environmentally friendly practices. By creating bridges between startups and farmers, this project contributes to the emergence of an innovative ecosystem where research, entrepreneurship and sustainable development intersect and mutually reinforce each other.

Launch of a new Tech4Farmers call for projects

In this dynamic, a call for projects will soon be launched for the second cohort of the Tech4Farmers program. This incubation program aims to support entrepreneurial initiatives capable of offering solutions adapted to the needs of farmers. Expected innovations will include connected tools, digital platforms and smart technologies making it easier to manage farms and strengthening their competitiveness.

By providing a favorable framework for collaboration between local and international actors, the UEMF plays an active role in the modernization of the regional agricultural sector. It thus aims to accelerate the transition towards more intelligent, sustainable and inclusive agriculture.
