As part of the 6th edition of the Congress of the African Scientific Research and Innovation Council (ASRIC), held from December 5th to 8th at the Hassan II Academy of Science and Technology in Rabat, the Euromed University of Fes was present among the 200 participants from various African countries through its high-caliber researchers.
Presided over by Pr. Mostapha BOUSMINA, President of ASRIC, Chancellor of the Hassan II Academy of Science and Technology and President of the Euromed University of Fes, the congress proceedings also saw the presence of Pr. Said EL KAZZOULI, a teacher-researcher at UEMF and Director of the School of Biomedical and Biotechnology Engineering, who gave a lecture on the theme: "Development of treatments against coronaviruses".
During this congress, the financial and technical contribution of the Euromed University of Fes was commended and highly appreciated. The final communiqué of the event highlighted the actions undertaken by UEMF in terms of implementing the Covid-19 treatment project and the scholarship program for Sub-Saharan students. The Congress also called on major African universities to follow the example of the Euromed University of Fes by actively participating in the ASRIC scholarship program.
The scientific papers discussed at the congress primarily addressed the theme of this edition, "Science, technology and innovation for development", notably in agriculture, health sciences, engineering sciences, humanities and social sciences, as well as natural sciences.
In the same vein, it should be noted that the African Scientific Research and Innovation Council plays a major role in developing various policies in favor of African countries.
