Miscellaneous notices

In 2020, the AUF and its partners launched the "Francophone Label for Responsible Innovation". This Label is intended for higher education and research institutions, private or public, that are members of the AUF worldwide. Its objective is twofold: to map and promote the responsible innovations of Francophone universities around the world, and also to deploy the responsible innovation network to foster synergies between universities, civil society, and the socio-economic sector working for the development of a responsible society. Following a call for applications, 3 projects were selected.

A jury of specialists in responsible innovation selected the first 3 projects to receive the Francophone Label for Responsible Innovation, which are being implemented at the following Francophone universities:

- Université Mahajanga, Madagascar, project led by Prof. Hery Lisy Tiana Ranarijaona: From sustainable conservation to ecotouristic cosmetopoeia and pharmacopoeia in the Ambondrona university campus botanical garden.

- Aleksandër Moisiu University of Durrës, Albania, project led by Ms. Oliana Sula: Interdisciplinary capacity-building for education in sustainable consumption.

- Euromed University of Fes, Morocco, project led by Mustapha Bennouna: Sustainable UEMF Programme.

The 2020/2021 Laureates will present their projects on December 14, 2021, at 2:00 PM (Paris time) during a public debate on responsible innovation in higher education and research, alongside experts on the subject. This will be an opportunity to share their results and inspire other Francophone institutions to begin or accelerate their transformation towards achieving the 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the 2030 Agenda.
