“Randomized trials and observational studies of medicine: The good, the bad and the ugly”: conference by Mr. Professor Samy Suissa

As part of its conference cycle, the Euromed University of Fez welcomed, today September 12, Pr. Samy Suissa, Director of the Clinical Epidemiology Center of the Jewish General Hospital of Montreal in Canada, a first conference for the 2023/2024 academic year under the theme of “Randomized trials and observational studies of medicine: The good, the bad and the ugly”.

During this conference which was chaired and moderated by Prof. Chakib Nejjari, Vice-President in charge of the Health Center at the Euromed University of Fez and Prof. Samir Ahid, Dean of the Euromed Faculty of Fez, Prof. Samy Suissa revealed the complex workings of randomized trials and observational studies. He thus highlighted attempts to recycle drugs, the temporal biases that influence them and modern methods to prevent these biases.

This meeting was an opportunity to discover clinical pharmacology and the latest advances in medical research, on the sidelines of the integration week for new students who joined the UEMF and particularly those from the Euromed Faculty of Pharmacy in Fez.
