Conference cycle
A conference by Mrs. Najat Vallaud-Belkacem, former Minister of Women's Rights, then of the City, Youth and Sports and then of National Education, Higher Education and Research of the French Republic and currently General Director of the international solidarity NGO ONE France.
This conference-debate was moderated by Pr. Mounia SLIGHOUA, teacher-researcher at the Institute of Legal and Political Sciences of the UEMF who questioned the Minister on subjects particularly linked to the problem of borders and the migratory phenomenon.
Ms. VALLAUD–BELKACEM shared multiple thoughts on the outlook on migration in the world and the various future perspectives to consider. Also, Mrs. VALLAUD – BELKACEM highlighted the importance of carrying out serious reflection in which research institutions, Universities and businesses must be associated in order to find solutions to these current problems.
Furthermore, the conference also addressed the complex issue of public debate around migration, mainly with the rise of extremism in a certain number of territories in the world today.
This meeting provided keys to understanding the current immigration situation while analyzing its causes, its trends as well as its possible developments.
Finally, it was a question of taking a look at migration, through the case of Morocco, as a country of departure, land of reception or transit of immigrants coming from other African countries.
We remind you that Ms. Najat Vallaud-Belkacem will give, throughout this academic year, a series of courses and seminars for the benefit of students of Political and Legal Sciences and also for students of the Euromed Business School of the University.
