During this brainstorming session, Dr. Rachid Achachi explored several crucial aspects of geopolitics. He initially presented the key characteristics of the Heartland, then defined the concept of thalassocracy, before comparing the approaches of Mackinder and Spykman. Furthermore, he scrutinized Huntington's impact on the Anglo-American geopolitical tradition, while questioning the realist or ideological nature of this tradition.
