[Hackathon] The Euromed Sustainable Impact Challenge: 2nd edition by Euromed Business School and Royal Air Maroc


THE EUROMED UNIVERSITY OF FEZ and its partner ROYAL AIR MAROC (RAM), are co-organizing the Euromed Sustainable Impact Challenge , a Hackathon which aims to engage participants in the CSR approach with reference to the value chain of ROYAL AIR MAROC. This 2nd edition takes place at the UEMF eco-campus where students from EBS (Euromed Business School), EMADU (Euromed School of Architecture, Design and Urban Planning) and EIDIA (School of Digital Engineering and Artificial Intelligence) are looking at the theme by providing ideas for projects that are both innovative and responsible.

13 teams are supervised by RAM specialists, by Mr. Ayoub Makhloufi, founder and president of " The Mediterranean Intelligence and Public Affairs Institute (MIPAI)" as well as professors from the Euromed University of Fez in the fields of business and management as in architecture and artificial intelligence to respond to this problem effectively and efficiently. Workshops rich in information and learning are held throughout the Hackathon in order to reflect on and propose an internal communication plan based on the game to facilitate employee awareness of CSR issues.

More than a simple opportunity to democratize the theme of CSR, the values ​​of RAM and the UEMF in this sense among the various stakeholders, this Hackathon is a unique opportunity, of educational interest, allowing students to present their ideas in front of a panel of high-level experts.

Schedule of days:

Opening day:

Day 1: 01/19/2022

  • 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m .: Opening remarks and presentation of the company as well as a reminder of the problem.
  • Presentation of the Royal Air Maroc company.
  • Presentation of the RAM value chain, presentation of the issues, the market, the existing situation.
  • Raising team awareness of the problem, issues and target audience.
  • Presentation of the program.


Discovery and vision day:

Day 2: 01/20/2022

  • 09:00-09:30 : Check In and registration of candidates.
  • 9:30 a.m. - 10:00 a.m .: Training: The approach angle for change management. “Directed by Ayoub Makhloufi”.
  • 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m .: Brainstorming – Idea cloud: Method allowing you to find the maximum number of original ideas in the minimum amount of time thanks to the deferred judgment technique. The idea is to come up with a lot of ideas first and evaluate them later. Materials: A3 sheet, Scissors, colored pencil, Post-it.
  • 1:00 p.m. – 1:15 p.m .: Distribution of meal baskets.
  • 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m .: Questioning of ideas, sharing & validation of the internal communication action plan.
  • 3:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m .: Prototyping, modeling, design…
  • 8:00 p.m .: Submission of the first two renderings (1) Cloud of ideas – Brainstorming + (2) Internal communication action plan.


Hack&Pitch Day

Day 3: 01/21/2022

  • 9:00 a.m. – 9:30 a.m .: Breathing and concentration exercise carried out by the CSR Director of Royal Air Maroc.
  • 9:30 a.m. – 10:00 a.m .: “How to build an effective responsible communication plan” training.
  • 10:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m .: Drafting of the internal communications plan.
  • 12:30 – 1:00 p.m .: Training, “Pitch your project” Directed by Ayoub Makhloufi;
  • 1:00 p.m. – 1:15 p.m .: Distribution of meal baskets.
  • 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m .: Business plan & “Pitch Your Project” presentation.
  • 5:00 p.m .: Submission of deliverables (1) Business plan, (2) PPT presentation & (3) Internal communication plan.
  • 5:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m .: “Pitch Your Project” 5 minutes / group.
  • 7:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m .: Closing remarks + awards ceremony.
  • 8:00 p.m .: Closing remarks and buffet.
