Project launch workshop: Support for Moroccan Companies through the use of Industry 4.0

The United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) in partnership with the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Digital Development Agency (ADD) and the “Fez Smart Factory”[1] consortium (FSF) , organized, on Friday September 22, 2023 in Rabat, a workshop to launch the project “ Supporting Moroccan Companies through the use of Industry 4.0: From the establishment of the smart factory to the improvement of competitiveness and innovation of Moroccan companies .

This project, developed by UNIDO in close collaboration with the Ministry of Industry and Trade and in consultation with the FSF ecosystem consortium and the ADD, aims to create an innovative ecosystem, favorable to the development of competitiveness and the productivity of Moroccan industry, in particular through:

       i. The development of an environment conducive to the dissemination of Industry 4.0 technologies and methods of use;

      ii. Support for the design and implementation of the smart pilot factory of the FSF ecosystem;

    iii. Supporting the FSF ecosystem in carrying out its missions linked to industry 4.0;

    iv. Support to develop key skills in training, R&D and dissemination of knowledge related to Industry 4.0;

     v. The acceleration of the adoption and use of industry 4.0 technologies by Moroccan companies.

The development of this innovative project is characterized by its integrated participatory approach between all stakeholders. It also aims to establish a support network between institutions in different countries to promote investments, financing and partnerships in this area.

This workshop, which marked the launch of the activities of the industry 4.0 project, was inaugurated by Madam Minister Delegate to the Head of Government Responsible for Digital Transition and Administration Reform, in the presence of various stakeholders public and private involved in this innovative field.
