[FSF] 2nd visit of Mr. David Greene, Chargé d'affaires at the United States Embassy in Morocco, to the FSF development and construction site

As part of the work to carry out the FSF project, Mr. David Greene, Chargé d'affaires at the United States Embassy in Morocco, visited the UEMF with a delegation represented by Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) and the Millennium Challenge Account-Morocco Agency ( MCA -Morocco) in order to more closely monitor the progress of the servicing and construction work on the FSF site.

During this visit, Mr. Mostapha Bousmina, President of the UEMF, Ms. Malika Laasri, General Director of the MCA-Morocco Agency, Mr. Tijani BOUNAHMIDI, Coordinator of the “Fez Smart Factory” project, and Mr. Fahd Salek representative of the ADD underlined the consistency of this project to which an investment of 104 million DH , including a contribution from the Millennium Challenge Account-Morocco Agency (MCA-Morocco) via FONZID up to 50% of the project cost.

Initiated by the UEMF and its main partners, namely the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, the Fès-Meknes Regional Council, the Digital Development Agency, the Fès-Taza branch of the General Confederation of Enterprises of Morocco (CGEM) and the company Alten Delivery Center-Maroc, Fez Smart Factory aims to develop a sustainable ecosystem to meet the needs of improving industrial productivity and environmental and social performance, by taking advantage of the concepts of industry 4.0 .

Covering an area of ​​11 hectares (property of the UEMF), the FSF project will include an 8,000 m2 building which will house services for innovative businesses, namely a 4.0 incubator, a 4.0 startup accelerator, engineering for industry 4.0 and research & development (R&D) laboratories among others.
