Visit to two Riads made available to the UEMF by a delegation accompanied by Pr. Iman Benkirane

A delegation composed of Ms. Nadia Fettah Alaoui, Minister of Tourism, Crafts, Air Transport and Social Economy, Mr. Said Zniber, Wali of the Fez-Meknes Region as well as Mr. Mohand Laenser, President of the Fez-Meknes Region, visited the two Riads made available to the Euromed University of Fez, located at Lalla Yeddouna.
Pr. Iman Benkirane, Director of the Euromed School of Architecture, Design and Urban Planning (EMADU), presented to the delegation the program that these buildings will house according to the “Open-air School” approach; program which will start in January 2020, thus bringing ancestral know-how closer to the academic world and research.
These two Riads now aim to be a platform for training, exchange, experimentation and emulation for EMADU students as well as craftsmen and apprentice craftsmen; and this, through seminars, workshops, workshops, etc. The objective is to allow students and apprentices as well as artisans and academics to combine knowledge and know-how.
In addition to the above activities, these residences will also be spaces for the popularization of knowledge through the organization of conferences, exhibitions, screenings, etc., thus materializing one of the reasons for being of the UEMF and which is that of being a platform for exchange, dialogue and openness.
