The new Spanish Ambassador to Morocco, His Excellency Enrique Ojeda Vila, paid a courtesy visit to the Euromed University of Fez, marking a new stage in the strengthening of bilateral relations between the two countries. This meeting symbolizes the common desire of Morocco and Spain to consolidate their historical ties and to promote mutually beneficial academic and scientific cooperation.
During this visit, HE Enrique Ojeda Vila spoke with Prof. Mostapha Bousmina, President of the Euromed University of Fez, emphasizing the development of academic partnerships and research innovation. The ambassador particularly underlined the importance of strengthening collaboration between Spanish institutions and the Euromed University of Fez, a flagship institution in the Moroccan, African and Euro-Mediterranean university landscape. Discussions focused on the establishment of student and faculty exchange programs, the co-organization of international conferences, as well as the development of joint research projects in areas of common interest.
During his visit, His Excellency Enrique Ojeda Vila was able to discover the University's research and innovation infrastructures, a reflection of its commitment to scientific and technological excellence. The ambassador notably visited the 3D printing platform, a cutting-edge space promoting prototyping and innovation in various fields, as well as the artificial intelligence laboratory, which is dedicated to advanced research projects in collaboration with international institutions. HE Enrique Ojeda Vila also explored the civil engineering laboratory, dedicated to advanced engineering studies, as well as the NMR (Nuclear Magnetic Resonance) laboratory, a unique infrastructure serving applied scientific research, allowing in-depth analyzes in the fields of chemistry and biotechnology.
