“Fez Smart Factory” is organizing in partnership with UNIDO, on May 10, 2022 at the Campus of the Euromed University of Fez (UEMF), a meeting under the theme “What role does Fez Smart Factory (FSF) play in the development of "industry 4.0 in Morocco", dedicated to the promotion of the FSF project among manufacturers, as well as the presentation of the results of the survey carried out by the project among manufacturers to identify their needs in terms of improving the performance of their industrial units through Industry 4.0.
The FSF project for sustainable innovation oriented “Industry 4.0” is developed by the UEMF in partnership with the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, the Regional Council of Fez-Meknes, the Digital Development Agency (ADD), the Fès-Meknes branch of the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM) and the company Alten Delivery Center Morocco.
Ultimately, the FSF project should generate more than 5 billion DH in investments and more than 5,000 highly qualified direct jobs, relying for this purpose on the skills of the UEMF and its state-of-the-art platforms ( the largest 3D printing platform in the country and the first School of Digital Engineering and Artificial Intelligence in Africa) and its laboratories specialized in the different industrial and energy sectors.
With a budget of around $30 million, FONZID aims to strengthen the model of sustainable industrial zones and contribute to improving the productivity and environmental and social performance of industrial zones. FONZID also aims to expand the supply of industrial land meeting the needs of investors in terms of location, quality of infrastructure, support services and competitive prices, thus contributing to the increase in private investment and to job creation.
