UEMF at the World Power-to-X Summit: Green Hydrogen and Innovation

As part of the World Power-to-X Summit, Pr. Tijani Bounahmidi, Vice-President in charge of the Fez Smart Factory and Pr. Othmane Benmoussa, Advisor to the President in charge of Accreditations and International Relations and Director of Euromed Polytechnic School, represented the University during this international gathering which was held in Marrakech on October 8 and 9, 2024.

The UEMF-HACE Side Event, organized in parallel with the Summit on October 9, 2024, brought together renowned experts, policy makers and industrial stakeholders to discuss the latest advances in the field of green hydrogen technologies. This event provided a unique platform to explore the future prospects and challenges of this growing sector, with particular emphasis on value chain optimization and technological innovations.

Professors Tijani Bounahmidi and Othmane Benmoussa, alongside our national and international university and industrial partners from the HVM (Marine Green Hydrogen) Consortium, including Dr. Jean-Luc Stanek, Pr. Jean-Luc Barou, Pr. Joël Jacquet and M Michel Delpon, participated in various sessions on the value chain of an innovative ecosystem for green marine hydrogen and in group discussions around global trends in green H2 and its positive externalities, providing their expertise in technologies. energy and sustainable solutions for the production and distribution of carbon-free energy.

The participation of our professors, Issa N'Diaye, Abdelkrim El Kadib, Othmane Benmoussa and Tijani Bounahmidi, made it possible not only to highlight the expertise of the UEMF in terms of sustainable development and innovation, but also to establish promising partnerships with industrial players and international researchers present during the B2B meetings organized on this occasion. These interactions open the way to rich collaborations, within the framework of industrializable projects aimed at developing technological solutions for accessible and efficient green hydrogen.
