Most AI/machine learning projects only deal with technical metrics that don't tell executives what business value could be delivered. In order to avoid the failures of many AI projects, we must instead focus on business indicators, somewhat sacrificing the technical precision of the proposed models.

Data scientists must consider business and financial indicators as part of their regular practice. Managers and data scientists must be ready to discuss together and rethink the way they design and use machine learning projects.
