Tutored project

Provide students with solid training in the working languages ​​of the Sector;

Thanks to very good multilingual and multicultural training, arm students against prejudices and stereotypes;

Ensuring students, thanks to the co-diploma system made possible by the partnership between the Euro-Mediterranean University of Fez and the La Lorraine University of Nancy, a very good quality of training in Translation (see UEMF-La Lorraine agreement in appendix);

Prepare students to properly initiate themselves in the fields of multiculturalism, interculturalism and intercultural mediation

Support students in appropriating working tools in the field of translation 

Equip students with the knowledge necessary to understand and be aware of the responsibilities that arise from the work of translators;

Prepare students to continue their studies in one of the Professional and/or Research Masters in the fields of Translation, Translation Studies and Conference Interpreting.

Faculty of Human and Social Sciences

  • Ability to express oneself correctly and fluently in the languages ​​of the training
  • Ability to discern and detect ambiguities, connotations and innuendoes in the languages ​​of the training
  • Ability to move from one register to another in either language used for translation
  • Ability to intelligently use the tools made available to the translator
  • Ability to assimilate, analyze and use translation techniques for the translation and intercultural mediation professions.

ADMISSION PROCEDURES

(The CNPN RG3 standard provides, for the Professional License , that the selection of candidates is done by means of a written test and any other method provided for in the description of the sector)

 

Qualifications required:

Baccalaureate in Modern Literature or equivalent 

 

Specific educational prerequisites: 

Have studied at least three (3) of the working languages ​​of the Sector

 

Selection procedures:

Study of the file:

  • (Explain the selection criteria: honors, number of years of study, grades in main subjects, etc.)
  • Rating: GOOD (MINIMUM)
  • Number of years of study: maximum 3 in secondary school
  • Language grades: minimum 14/20
  • Written test: Written tests in the three languages ​​+ 1 translation test (one of the linguistic combinations of the sector taking into account the languages ​​studied in secondary school)
  • Interview: Oral interview in one or other of the working languages ​​of the Sector
