The Master's degree in “Actuarial Sciences and Financial Engineering” aims to train practitioners capable of mastering all mathematical and econometric tools in the context of functions related to actuarial science and market finance. This training will thus make it possible to provide the banking and insurance sectors with high-level executives, with a global culture of the disciplines of quantitative finance, pricing and risk management.

This master's degree is also designed to meet a strong demand from insurance companies, banking and financial institutions for high-level management personnel. The chosen course is scientific in nature, characterized by the wealth of in-depth courses in statistics, econometrics and financial economics, as well as a high level in applied mathematics and advanced programming.

The winners will have the qualifications required to hold senior management responsibilities in the banking and insurance sector. They will be able to:

• Master the mathematics of hazard and use it to model phenomena in the field of the economy of uncertainty,
• Develop models that take into account market regulations to represent financial assets,
• Respond to the actuarial news by mastering prudential control standards,
• Acquire in-depth knowledge of insurance policy pricing techniques,
• Master risk modeling and data analysis techniques,
• Make recommendations for management strategies risks,
• Master the different concepts of corporate finance and financial analysis,
• Know the AI ​​technologies used in the fields of actuarial science and finance.
 

This master's degree is open to holders of a Bachelor's degree in fundamental studies in Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, Finance or Economics.

Given the nature of our Master's program, basic knowledge of mathematics, probability, statistics, computer science (algorithms, programming) and databases is recommended. Candidates will be evaluated on the basis of their skills and motivation.

Winners will be able to work in the financial departments of corporations, stockbroking firms, investment banks, insurance companies, pension funds and regulatory bodies. They will be able to occupy positions such as financial analyst, risk manager, financial director, trader, portfolio manager, actuarial data scientist, quantitative analyst, etc.  

At the end of the program, students interested in teaching and research can apply for a doctorate.
