Euromed School of Architecture, Design and Urban Planning (EMADU)

Beyond the fact that it is intended to be a continuation of the Design License initiated, this Master Design has the main objective of developing reflection and expertise around design methods and processes in the field of design linked to concerns, considerations and eco‐responsible commitments of Morocco in particular and the countries of the Euro‐Mediterranean Region in general. It aims to confront future designers with current issues and debates within the discipline and contemporary societies and to participate in putting on the market profiles capable of contributing to the development and dissemination of knowledge, know-how and research. technological and innovation while having as a structural directive the component of eco-responsibility and citizenship. This training will involve integrating issues related to participatory design, artificial intelligence, innovation in manufacturing techniques and the economic mechanisms of prospecting, production (social and solidarity economy), promotion and marketing. The desire to integrate all these components within it arises from a desire to bring out a global vision of the practice of contemporary design. It will thus provide support for reflection on the design exercise of tomorrow. It will also be able to inspire reflection around the regulations and legislation governing the practice of design.

Specializations of Master of Design studies

• Care Design – focuses on people, communities and ecosystems. Care design is solutions for living harmoniously together and creating common ground. The care and concern for others project imagines, designs, conceptualizes, develops, formalizes and evaluates to ensure the development of innovative products and services in areas such as: Health, Ecology, Public Policies.

• Game Design - Design of games and mobile applications, design of multimedia structures, UX design, character design, motion design, 2D and 3D animation, multimedia and video post-production. Design for 3D engines, Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality.

• Graphic Design - Focus on visual communication, typography, visual advertising, book, print, poster, banner and website design. Branding and complete visual identification of companies and products. Project visualizations and presentations.

• Artisign - Design of innovative products based on respect for heritage and culture, and cooperation with artisans. Using traditional techniques, we think about new solutions, innovative use of traditional crafts, as well as ecology, a close connection with the place to which the inhabitants of the product are dedicated.

Selection procedures:

Study of the file (Explain the selection criteria: mentions, number of years of study, grades in main subjects, etc.)
Access to the EMADU Master Design sector is via competition in three phases

¨ Study of the file: The pre-selection based on the file will be done by a jury following the study of the documents submitted.

The file must consist of at least:
- A Bachelor's Degree in the aforementioned disciplinary fields
- Transcripts from the last 3 years of training
- A handwritten cover letter (Explain the selection criteria: honors, number of years studies, grades for main subjects, etc.)

¨ Written test: Table test
- general knowledge test: 30 min
- geometry and spatial perception test: 30 min
- graphic and plastic expression test: 120 min

The Material Library provides:

Physical samples of materials favorable to eco-design (around 300 to start)

- An online database accessible by subscription which contains thousands of references classified into several categories: MATERIALS / PROCESSES / TRENDS.
- technical information and examples of application from publications and works

- - AN ENTREPRENEURSHIP CENTER;

- A student residence with catering, relaxation and leisure areas, para-university activity workshops (theater, painting, music, choir and singing, poetry, etc.);

- A sports infrastructure;

- numerous services designed to meet the needs of the university community (banks, commerce, bookstore, etc.).

In particular for EEMADU, the creation of research and educational support laboratories is planned.

All teaching premises are equipped with whiteboards, some of which are interactive, projection screens, video projectors, they are all connected by optical fiber and all have a Wi-Fi connection.
