Visit to the Euromed University of Fez by His Excellency Mr. José Ulisses Correla e Silva, Prime Minister of the Republic of Cape Verde accompanied by a high-level delegation

The Euromed University of Fez (UEMF) had the honor of receiving this Friday, May 12, 2023 his Excellency Mr. José Ulisses Correla e Silva, Prime Minister of the Republic of Cape Verde, at the head of a very high delegation level including many Ministers and officials from the Cape Verdean political, diplomatic and academic world.

During the reception offered in their honor, Prof. Mostapha BOUSMINA President of the UEMF extended the warmest welcome to His Excellency and the delegation accompanying him while welcoming the excellent relations between Morocco and Cape Town. -Green. Mr. President then briefly presented the Euromed University of Fez, created on the initiative of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God preserve and assist Him, and placed under His High Honorary Presidency. Its governance model, its educational engineering and its research-innovation activities as well as its different components were exposed.

Subsequently, the delegation visited the University's facilities and in particular its technological platforms and its research-innovation laboratories.

Speaking, His Excellency the Prime Minister of Cape Verde welcomed the excellent relations between his country and Morocco and expressed on behalf of the entire delegation his joy at being in this high place of knowledge and living together, while making it known that he is impressed by the UEMF model, by its achievements and by the excellence of its teaching and research activities. 

A partnership agreement was signed on this occasion between the University of Cape Verde and the Euromed University of Fez, marking the start of a cooperation that both parties hope will be fruitful and lasting as well as their mutual commitment to quickly promote common initiatives, with the aim of carrying out joint teaching and research programs, in all areas of common interest and to encourage exchanges of students and teacher-researchers. 

At the end of the visit, Prof. Mostapha BOUSMINA offered the University of Cape Verde a high-tech 3D printer, designed and manufactured by one of the University's startups. The startup's engineers will soon travel to Cape Verde to install this machine and train the teams there. The same operation was carried out last week in Ivory Coast.
