
A conference on "The Protection of Personal Data in the Context of Persons with Disabilities" was led by Mr. Omar Seghrouchni, President of the CNDP (National Commission for the Control of Personal Data Protection), at the University.
Mr. Omar Seghrouchni graduated in 1986 from the Mohammadia School of Engineers with a degree in Electrical Engineering, specializing in Automation and Industrial Computing, and then, in 1987, with a DEA (Postgraduate Diploma) in Mathematics and Automation from Paris IX University – Dauphine and the École des Mines de Paris.
Omar SEGHROUCHNI has led several major transformation projects in both the private and public sectors, in France and Morocco, and more broadly in Europe. He has accompanied the various waves of enterprise architecture and urban planning initiatives. He developed the concept of "transformation governance."
He has been a member of the CNDP (National Commission for the Control of Personal Data Protection) since 2010. His Majesty the King, may God assist him, appointed him President of this same Commission on November 17, 2018.
During his conference at Euromed University of Fes, he discussed the importance of data protection and the role played by the CNDP in this regard, especially in the era marked by the advent of societal digitalization.
The President was accompanied by a CNDP delegation including, among others, members of the delegation of African authorities (Ms. Patricia Poku, Ms. Abigail Yeboah, and Mr. José Alegre) as well as other executives from the commission.
This conference was preceded by the signing of an agreement between Euromed University of Fes and the CNDP to promote partnerships and advanced training in the processing and protection of personal data.
