The RIEMAS “Workshop Series”
The RIEMAS “ Workshop Series ” are regular events focusing on themes around the projects on which the associated researchers are working. These events are an opportunity for researchers to present their work in progress or the results of work that they would like to share.
The RIEMAS “ Workshop Series ” are events lasting half a day to a day and bringing together around thirty researchers and representatives of civil society or partner institutions. These events are held in a reduced format in order to optimize the exchange and provoke the debates necessary to advance the research presented.
These events are also networking or collaboration opportunities for RIEMAS researchers.
The “Round Tables” of RIEMAS
The RIEMAS “Round Tables” are thematic panels which can bring together small groups of researchers and other guests around a pre-established question with a view to participating in current thinking or in the advancement of one or more project productions . in progress. These panels or workshops can be held in the RIEMAS meeting rooms and can also be an opportunity to network researchers wishing to start new research projects.
RIEMAS “Tuesday Talks”
The RIEMAS “Tuesday Talks” are events organized online since their launch during the COVID-19 health crisis
. These are therefore virtual platforms for connecting RIEMAS researchers with other researchers and institutions. These events are informal meetings which leave great freedom to the invited speaker to address a theme of their choice. The “Tuesday Talks” is an initial connection which can subsequently give rise to collaborations or research.
An annual conference: “The Fez Strategic Forum”
RIEMAS aimed to organize a major event in 2020 which would have been an opportunity to bring together all the Think Tank as well as a large number of prestigious guests.
The Fez Strategic Forum (FSF) would thus be the flagship event of the year.
The “Fez Strategic Forum” is built on a scientific level thanks to the contribution of the various workshops which precede it and is an opportunity to present the accomplished work of UEMF researchers on a larger scale and to a wider audience. fleshed out.
The “Fez Strategic Forum” is undeniably more ambitious to the extent that it goes beyond the format of workshops to bring together several disciplines and different perspectives around the complexity of a highly transversal theme requiring fundamental rather than symptomatic solutions.
In terms of scale, the audience is larger and the number of participants can reach around a hundred guests and speakers. As for the format, it could alternate between plenary sessions, round tables and parallel discussion circles.
The FSF would also have the identity of being an open space for informal contacts between all of its guests in order to encourage networking. In this regard, benchmarks such as the Aix meetings of the French Circle of Economists, those of the Circulo de Economia in Sitges or the CEPS IdeasLab in Brussels are sources of inspiration.
It was not possible to organize the FSF in 2020 due to the pandemic. The FSF is now scheduled for 2021.
