Our process engineering course at Euromed Polytechnic School focuses on different tools such as innovative processes and separation techniques, catalytic engineering and polymers, as well as chemical process safety.
This training provides future winners with the tools of Process Engineering: the executives and specialists, thus trained, will be able to understand and master the phenomena involved in the development and efficient operation of an industrial process.
To do this, the student acquires advanced knowledge in the field of Process Engineering, energy efficiency (scientific and technical methods, knowledge of systems, analysis and processing techniques, etc.) and completes his training with knowledge and transversal skills constituting the UEMF profile (common denominator of all training offered by the UEMF).
It should be noted that the UEMF profile aims to provide the student with:
- certified multilingual abilities (2 languages in addition to the mother tongue);
- mastery of ICT tools (Information and Communication Technologies);
- knowledge of entrepreneurship and innovation management;
- the discovery of the history and civilizations of the Euro-Mediterranean region with a view to better sharing its rich heritage.
The management tools, communication techniques, as well as the language program designed by the Euromed Polytechnic School team will be essential assets for future winners.
In addition, the general design of the training modules aims to equip students with precise tools for scientific research, also allowing them to integrate doctoral cycles in engineering and science and technology.
Euromed Polytechnic School (EPS)
- Scientific skills in fundamental sciences and applied sciences: mathematical sciences, modeling and optimization, applied physics, materials sciences;
- Technical skills in the field of Process Engineering: Design and conception of chemical reactors, fluid pumping systems, heat exchangers and other unit operation equipment;
- Be able to evaluate the energy performance of a process by quantifying the main causes of energy dissipation;
- Be able to carry out a technical-economic evaluation study of a process;
- Being able to optimize the energy performance of a system;
- Managerial skills: project management, entrepreneurship, economics and sustainable development;
- Skills in languages (French, English), communication and Euro-Mediterranean culture.
Access to the 1st year of the process engineering cycle is open:
Automatically to:
- Students who have completed the 2 integrated preparatory years of Euromed Polytechnic School;
- Students in scientific preparatory classes eligible for the Common National Competition or equivalent.
By competitive examination and interview at:
- Students who have completed the two preparatory years integrated into an engineering cycle different from that of the Euromed Polytechnic School;
- Students who have passed with at least a good honors in the first two post-baccalaureate years in sciences, sciences and techniques or technology or with at least a fairly good honors in the first three post-baccalaureate years in sciences, sciences and techniques or technology.
For this category, the selection is made on the basis of:
- Results obtained at the baccalaureate;
- Results obtained in the post-baccalaureate years;
- Technical and motivational interview.
Professions concerned:
The targeted professions are:
- Industrial process engineer;
- Design office engineer;
- R&D engineer and future researchers;
- In the long term: leaders and CEOs of companies.
