The Euromed University of Fes had the pleasure of hosting, as part of an official visit to Morocco, a significant Senegalese government delegation led by the Secretary of State for the Development of Small and Medium Industries. The delegation also included several senior officials from institutions responsible for investment development and supporting the industrial fabric in Senegal.
This visit, of great strategic importance, is part of a dynamic of South-South cooperation and experience sharing among African countries around common challenges related to economic development, technological innovation, and human capital training.
The University President, Prof. Mostapha Bousmina, along with other officials, welcomed the delegation and presented the major strategic directions of UEMF, its commitment to innovation, youth entrepreneurship, and sustainable development. The visitors also discovered the University's cutting-edge technological platforms, as well as its flagship projects such as the Fez Smart Factory (FSF) and the Euromed Innovation Center (EIC).
The visit featured rich and promising exchanges on possible synergies between UEMF and Senegalese industrial development stakeholders, particularly in areas related to supporting SMEs/SMIs, upskilling young entrepreneurs, and incubating innovative projects with strong local impact.
This meeting strengthens the ties between Morocco and Senegal and confirms the growing role of African universities as catalysts for cooperation and transformation in service of a more autonomous, united, and forward-looking Africa.
