Miscellaneous notices

As part of the cooperation and strategic dialogue uniting Morocco with European countries, and in support of the culture of dialogue and intercultural understanding, the Euromed University of Fes hosted, on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, Their Excellencies Mr. Christophe LECOURTIER and Mr. Robert DÖLGER, respectively the Ambassador of the French Republic to Morocco and the Ambassador of Germany to Morocco.

This meeting, organized in honor of Their Excellencies, began with a presentation by the President of UEMF, Prof. Mostapha BOUSMINA, who briefly outlined the University's main missions in promoting intercultural dialogue, exchange, and cooperation between the two shores of the Mediterranean, with a natural extension towards sub-Saharan Africa.

Subsequently, the guests toured the Eco-Campus and its technological platforms, as well as its research and innovation laboratories.

During their addresses to the University's students and staff, the Ambassadors shared their views on the foreign policy pursued by European countries towards Morocco, particularly in political, economic, and security matters. They also discussed the potential role Europe could play as a reliable partner, not only for Morocco but for the entire African continent.

This event was a crucial opportunity for the University's students and faculty to engage with Their Excellencies, aiming to explore German and French perspectives on ways to enhance cooperation between Morocco, Germany, and France in order to bring the views of the two Mediterranean shores closer together and work towards strengthening a region of peace, security, and cooperation.
