Visit of the Members of the Hassan II Academy of Science and Technology to the Euromed University of Fes

The Euromed University of Fes (UEMF) had the honor of hosting a delegation from the Hassan II Academy of Science and Technology, who came to discover its eco-campus and its state-of-the-art scientific and technological infrastructures. Among the members present was Mr. Mohammed Kabbaj, Chancellor of UEMF, accompanied by several eminent members of the Academy.

The program for this visit included a tour of the Euromed Sports Complex, the largest in the Kingdom, featuring a FIFA-standard football field and two swimming pools, one Olympic-sized and the other semi-Olympic. The delegation then visited the University's technological platforms, including the largest Additive Manufacturing (3D) and Prototyping platform in Morocco, equipped with around fifty 3D printing machines, some of which were designed and manufactured at UEMF. The University has even given rise to a startup dedicated to designing and manufacturing its own machines, illustrating its ability to transform research into concrete innovation.

The visit continued inside the Fez Smart Factory, a model 4.0 factory, and the civil engineering platforms, biotechnology and biomedical laboratories, as well as the virtual reality, robotics, and cobotics laboratories. The Academy members also discovered the Euromed Innovation Center, the University's incubator and support space for young project holders.

On this occasion, Prof. Mostapha Bousmina, President of UEMF and Chancellor of the Hassan II Academy, presented the University's contribution to academic diplomacy, notably through its ICESO, UNESCO, and United Nations Chair on the Alliance of Civilizations, which is unique of its kind. He also highlighted the role of RIEMAS (Research Institute on European, Mediterranean & African Studies), UEMF's Think Tank dedicated to strategic reflection on the issues and dynamics of the Europe–Mediterranean–Africa region.

This meeting served to highlight the integrated vision of UEMF and its projects, which actively contribute to the development of scientific production and to the international influence of teaching and research in our country.
