Royal Vision in Action: the Alliance of Civilizations Chair at Euromed University of Fes

The Euromed University of Fes has officially inaugurated the Alliance of Civilizations Chair (ACC), materializing the vision of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, as articulated during the 9th United Nations Alliance of Civilizations Forum, held in November 2022 in Fes.

Miguel Ángel Moratinos, the United Nations High Representative for the Alliance of Civilizations, praised this initiative, which he described as historic, responding to the Sovereign's call for concrete actions for peace. According to him, this chair provides students with the necessary tools and knowledge to build a better future.

Prof. Abdelhak Azzouzi, President of the Chair, emphasized its university and academic role, focused on research, training, and civilizational dialogue. Composed of an international team of sixty members, it offers a rich scientific and cultural program designed to promote the values of coexistence and intercultural exchange.

This inauguration was held on the sidelines of the Euromed University of Fes Meetings for the Alliance of Civilizations, organized under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI. These meetings addressed several major themes, including peace, migration, preventive diplomacy, as well as the impact of artificial intelligence on global issues.
