UEMF participates in the third edition of the Mediterranean Climate Forum

The third edition of the Conference of the Parties of the Mediterranean Countries on Climate Change (MedCop Climat) was held from June 22 to 23 in Tangier, Morocco.

This call to action urges, on one hand, to accelerate the pace of the fight against climate change, and on the other, to intensify actions to preserve ecosystems in the territories.

During this international conference, Prof. Hafsa El Bekri, a teacher-researcher at the Euromed University of Fes and Co-Director of the Think Tank Research Institute for European, Mediterranean and African Studies (RIEMAS), moderated the Side Event "Assessment of environmental considerations in Regional budgets," addressing several questions related to the implementation and promotion of climate governance at the local level. Prof. El Bekri also participated in the Panel "Local Stocktake and way forward."

This event saw the participation of ministers, public organizations, donors, companies, territories, and NGOs to address the various challenges faced by the Mediterranean under climate pressure.
