Miscellaneous notices

The Euromed University of Fes (UEMF) affirms its central role in transforming the agricultural sector by hosting the steering committee of the Agritech Regional Innovation and Entrepreneurship Hub (PRIE). This meeting, held at the Euromed Innovation Center, marked a decisive step for the "Tamkin Li Tanmia" Agritech project. It provided an opportunity to review the progress made while strengthening synergies between startups and the hub's stakeholders. Technological demonstrators were also deployed to support farmers in the Fès-Meknès region, thereby facilitating the adoption of digital solutions in the field.

A Strategic Partnership for a Connected Agricultural Future

With the support of the French Development Agency (AFD), the PRIE aims to democratize the use of digital technologies for agriculture. The goal is to address the sector's current challenges: improving yields, encouraging agritech entrepreneurship, and promoting more sustainable and environmentally friendly practices. By building bridges between startups and farmers, this project contributes to the emergence of an innovative ecosystem where research, entrepreneurship, and sustainable development intersect and mutually reinforce each other.

Launch of a New Tech4Farmers Call for Projects

As part of this momentum, a call for projects will soon be launched for the second cohort of the Tech4Farmers program. This incubation program aims to support entrepreneurial initiatives capable of proposing solutions tailored to farmers' needs. Expected innovations will include connected tools, digital platforms, and smart technologies that facilitate farm management and enhance their competitiveness.

By providing a favorable framework for collaboration between local and international stakeholders, UEMF plays an active role in modernizing the regional agricultural sector. It thus aims to accelerate the transition towards a smarter, more sustainable, and inclusive agriculture.
