Euromed Career Day: Euromed University of Fes strengthens its ties with the socioeconomic world

On February 28, 2024, the Euromed University of Fes organized the second edition of the Euromed Career Day, held at its UEMF Eco-campus.

As a bridge between the professional and academic worlds, the Euromed University of Fes brought together a significant number of companies and human resources professionals from various socioeconomic and institutional backgrounds. Aiming to promote the professional integration of its youth and open the doors of the job market to graduates, this edition saw the participation of a range of partner companies, including Webhelp, Attijariwafa Bank and Bank of Africa, Alten, Jet Contractors, Cnexia, TMSA - TMA (Tanger Med), and Safran Aerosystems. This major event also featured the presence of ANAPEC, Rekrute, the Syndicat des Professionnels des Dispositifs et Produits de Santé (SPDPS), TGCC, CGI, and Huawei.

During his opening speech, Prof. Mostapha BOUSMINA highlighted the importance of this meeting both for the University's students and for companies seeking talented and skilled individuals who have benefited from a solid, rich, and diverse training curriculum, based on values instilled in them by the University.

Aware of the challenges posed by the rise of technology, UEMF, through this forum, created a space for reflection on the needs of the economic sphere related to new technologies and digitalization. Thus, this job fair, which also aims to bring together academic and economic actors, began with a roundtable discussion on the theme: "Artificial Intelligence at the Service of the African Worker." A conference-debate which included Prof. Taoufik OUAZZANI CHAHDI, Vice-President for Academic and Cultural Affairs (UEMF), Mr. Mimoun CHIKHI, Regional Director (Webhelp), Mrs. Salma KARIM, Head of the Human Capital and Innovation Department (Digital Development Agency), Mr. Abdelali HAMMADI, Director of Digital Transformation (Domaines Agricoles), and as moderator, Mr. Rachid ACHACHI, economist and geopolitical consultant.

A bridge between recruiters and job seekers, this day rich in interactions unfolded around various aspects such as student-employer meetings, an exhibition hall dedicated to companies, and workshops led by experts on Soft Skills and Power Skills to enable students and young graduates to align with the expectations of the job market.

This unique event, in the diversity of its program, also offered job seekers a conducive framework for exchanges through the setup of booths for representatives of the invited companies, providing the opportunity to conduct individual interviews, based on recruitment needs previously defined by each entity.

This new edition allowed students and Alumni of the Euromed University of Fes to attend coaching programs tailored to various profiles and addressing the questions of future graduates from training programs oriented towards careers in health, biotechnology, architecture, design, artificial intelligence, civil engineering, mechanical engineering, as well as careers in management and finance, political and legal sciences, and humanities and social sciences.

Through this day, students of the Euromed University of Fes were able to discover the various aspects related to opportunities offered by companies and selection criteria, in order to enhance their resumes to secure both jobs and internships, and to position themselves among the many seekers who attended this forum marked by numerous activities and crowned with success.
