The wave of solidarity is being organized at the Université Euromed de Fès following the earthquake that struck our country.

The solidarity and support campaign for the inhabitants of the Al Haouz region continues at the Université Euromed de Fès through the reception, today on 11/09/2023, of the team from the Fès Regional Blood Transfusion Centre and through other humanitarian initiatives.

Following the painful earthquake that our country suffered on the night of Friday, September 8, the Université Euromed de Fès organized a blood donation campaign to help the victims in the most affected regions. This devastating earthquake caused a dreadful number of deaths and injuries, with many of the affected people in a very serious condition and in urgent need of various types of assistance, particularly medical, psychological, and material.

Students, teacher-researchers, administrative and technical staff, and senior management—the entire UEMF community mobilized en masse to respond to this humanitarian gesture of blood donation. Furthermore, the University is participating in the national solidarity drive through other solidarity actions, consisting of the institutional participation of UEMF in the special fund for managing the impact of the earthquake in Morocco, the voluntary participation of all University staff by contributing one month's or half a month's salary to the aforementioned fund, and aid for students and staff from the disaster areas.

These actions are part of the national drive initiated by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God preserve and assist him. This exceptional mobilization of solidarity, which has manifested across the four corners of the Kingdom, symbolizes and illustrates the foundations of the Moroccan nation, which has stood up as one.

These initiatives fall within the framework of the social and civic actions undertaken by the Université Euromed de Fès, in perfect alignment with the humanitarian values represented in the spirit of social responsibility, sharing, and solidarity.
