23 January 2026
On January 23, 2026, the Euromed University of Fes hosted the sixth meeting of the Board of Directors of the Green H2 Cluster, thereby confirming its positioning as a leading academic and scientific actor in supporting strategic sectors related to the energy transition.

Prior to this meeting, the Board members were given a guided tour of UEMF's infrastructure, led by the University President, Prof. Mostapha Bousmina. The tour began with the university's sports facilities, notably the FIFA-approved football field, intended to host training sessions for national teams during the 2030 World Cup, as well as the sports complex.

The tour continued with a discovery of the university's research and innovation platforms, covering several strategic fields, including civil engineering, subtractive manufacturing in mechanical engineering, additive manufacturing, biotechnology, as well as materials chemistry and medicinal chemistry, illustrating the richness and complementarity of UEMF's scientific ecosystem.

The visit also highlighted the ideation incubator, dedicated to supporting projects, as well as the Fès Smart Factory, a platform focused on supporting industrial players and pilot-scale projects. This ensemble allowed the Board members to concretely grasp the university's capabilities in research, innovation, and technology transfer.

The meeting of the 6th Board of Directors of the Green H2 Cluster Morocco, held on the UEMF campus, focused on analyzing the Cluster's financial and organizational situation, the evolution of its members, a review of completed activities, as well as future development prospects. The discussions also addressed strengthening governance, the role of thematic committees, and strategic directions for the 2026–2030 period, in a national and international context marked by strong momentum around green hydrogen.

By hosting this event, UEMF reaffirms its commitment to the development of innovation, institutional partnership, and the structuring of future-oriented sectors in Morocco, particularly those related to renewable energies and green hydrogen.
