An Incubator Serving Regional Development Since its creation, the Euromed Innovation Center (EIC) has established itself as a key player in entrepreneurial and socio-economic transformation in Morocco and the Euro-Mediterranean region. Backed by the Université Euromed de Fès (UEMF), the incubator supports project leaders, students, researchers, and young entrepreneurs in turning their ideas into innovative, viable businesses with high societal impact. Its mission goes beyond mere technical support: the EIC aims to stimulate responsible innovation, encourage inclusive entrepreneurship, and strengthen the link between academic research and the regional economic fabric. Through an approach centered on youth, creativity, and collaboration, the center actively contributes to positioning the Fez-Meknes region as a hub for innovation and sustainable development.
Women's Entrepreneurship at the Heart of the Strategy One of the fundamental pillars of the Euromed Innovation Center's action is the promotion of women's entrepreneurship. Women represent nearly 40% of the project leaders supported, an exceptional statistic in the Moroccan innovation context. Through targeted initiatives, tailored training, and personalized support, the center fosters the emergence of inspiring female leadership and encourages female students and young graduates to dare to venture into varied sectors: technology, education, sustainable agriculture, health, or innovative crafts. This inclusive approach helps make the EIC a model for equal opportunity and women's empowerment through entrepreneurship.
International Visibility: The GITEX Africa Adventure The impact of the EIC extends beyond the campus borders. In 2025, 13 startups from its programs were selected to participate in GITEX Africa, the continent's largest technology exhibition. This event offered young entrepreneurs the opportunity to present their innovations, attract investors, and network with major players in global tech. This participation illustrates the recognition of the potential and quality of the support provided by UEMF. It also positions the incubator as an essential player on the African and Mediterranean entrepreneurial scene.
A Catalyst for Sustainable and Inclusive Innovation Through its areas of intervention — Open Innovation & Applied Research, Lab-to-Market, and Entrepreneurship Promotion — the EIC facilitates the transformation of knowledge into concrete solutions. Its goal: to connect scientific research, market needs, and societal challenges to co-create projects with real impact. Thus, the incubator plays a decisive role in valorizing applied research, creating skilled jobs, and promoting sustainable entrepreneurship based on innovation, cooperation, and social responsibility.
