The Euromed School of Architecture, Design and Urban Planning celebrates Italian Design Day

Specific day

After a conference on “Design that generates community” scheduled for March 29 at the Mohammed VI Museum in Rabat, the Euromed University of Fez welcomes SEM Armando Barucco, Ambassador of the Republic of Italy, and Pr. Andrea Anastasio, Designer and specialist Italian having participated in numerous cultural and architectural projects.

With the objective of making design shine and resonate in all its forms, the Euromed School of Architecture, Design and Urban Planning wanted to actively engage in this dynamic. These highlights will be offered as part of an exchange between Professor Andrea Anastasio and students from the Euromed School of Architecture, Design and Urban Planning (EMADU) around the theme “ Building the contemporary: innovation and tradition in the craft-making process – the role of art and design in building community.”

Convinced that design is a powerful means of understanding reality and its complexities, Prof. Andrea Anastasio directs his intervention towards themes and issues which are at the heart of his research work such as the links which exist between design and mortality, design and desire, impermanence, vulnerability, gender, cultural identity... Thanks to this meeting, students of architecture and design will be able to raise a certain number of questions through the prism of design, but also to question design in its practice and its methods.
