Specific day
Like the international community, the Euromed University of Fez celebrates International Women's Rights Day on March 8, paying tribute to the resilience and achievements of all employees but also all students of the University.
As a commemoration, the President of the University, Prof. Mostapha Bousmina, took the opportunity to salute the laudable efforts of the UEMFist woman. Mr. President has always highlighted the remarkable contribution and commitment of the women of the UEMF to the progress and development of our university.
As an institution committed to its African and Euro-Mediterranean community, particularly in terms of equal opportunities and social inclusion, the UEMF attaches paramount importance to gender equity, ensuring that women enjoy equal access to positions of responsibility compared to men. The university adopts fair recruitment policies to ensure gender equality in career advancement. This demonstrates a resolute desire to create a professional environment where merit takes precedence over all other criteria.
“Investing in women: accelerating the pace” was the theme of the celebrations of this 114th International Women’s Rights Day, established by the UN. In this regard, the University has implemented exceptional benefits for women during the maternity period. It also granted specific measures for mothers with children with disabilities, thus illustrating a concrete commitment to an inclusive work environment that respects individual needs.
Reflecting a combination of traditions, social changes and legislative reforms, currently, Moroccan women play varied and crucial roles in different areas of society. Like the UEMFist woman, the Moroccan woman today is not only a leader and influential, but she also embodies a dynamic agent of change, actively contributing to the economic, social and cultural development of society.
