The 2023 ranking by "Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings" of universities worldwide has just been revealed. At the national level, the Université Euromed de Fès occupies 2nd place on the podium.

The THE Impact Rankings is a global ranking, one of the most influential worldwide alongside the Shanghai and QS rankings. It is based on a multidimensional analysis of higher education institutions regarding their achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

This year's edition involved 1,591 universities from 112 countries. 11 Moroccan universities appear in the international ranking, and their national ranking is as follows:

1. Université Internationale de Rabat
2. Université Euromed de Fès
3. Université Ibn Tofail de Kénitra
4. Université Mohammed V de Rabat
5. Université Sidi Mohammed Ben Abdellah
6. Université Hassan II de Casablanca
7. Université Abdelmalek Essaâdi de Tétouan-Tanger
8. Université Al Akhawayn d’Ifrane
9. Université Chouaib Doukkali d’El Jadida
10. Université Hassan premier de Settat
11. Université Moulay Slimane de Béni Mellal

In this ranking, the Université Euromed de Fès is on the podium for 10 of the 17 SDGs, particularly SDG 4: "Quality Education", for which it ranks among the global Top 200. Furthermore, it is ranked 1st nationally for 4 SDGs. As a reminder, the University was ranked 1st nationally in the 2022 U-Multirank ranking.

On an African scale, Egypt has 37 universities in this ranking, followed by Morocco, Nigeria and Algeria (11), South Africa (8), Tunisia (7), Ghana (6), Sudan (2), while Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe each have 1 university.
