Hackathon MedInnovation Tour: The Pre-Event for the "MediTour 2023" Forum at Euromed University of Fes

The Euromed University of Fes, in partnership with the Fes-Meknes Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services, organized the "MedInnovation Tour 2023" Hackathon. It was held at the UEMF Eco-campus on October 13 and 14, 2023, under the auspices of the Ministry of Tourism, Handicrafts, and the Social and Solidarity Economy.

A flagship event preceding the 10th edition of the Mediterranean Tourism Forum, this hackathon aims to promote investment in this sector, strengthen interregional cooperation, and enhance the tourist assets of the Mediterranean region.

This year's MedInnovation Tour brought together numerous stakeholders and experts in the field of tourism, as well as entrepreneurs with creative ideas, to rethink the tourist experience and offer new perspectives for revitalizing Mediterranean tourism by focusing on the region's natural and cultural assets.

During this Hackathon, the pre-selected candidates benefited from several training, coaching, and mentoring sessions provided by experts. This enabled them to have an immersive entrepreneurial experience through workshops and roundtables developed around various themes, including "Design Thinking & UX/UI Design in the Tourism Sector," "Sustainability and Innovation in the Tourism Sector," "Solution Development, Product Design and Prototype," and "How to Pitch."

Following these two days of collective reflection and intense work, several innovative projects emerged around the theme "Mediterranean Tourism in Projects."

The awards ceremony was marked by the presence of several prominent figures from the public and private sectors representing various segments of tourism and the academic world.
