Euromed Faculty of Dental Medicine and the AMPBD: Meeting for the Benefit of Dental Medicine Students

The Euromed Faculty of Dental Medicine (FEMD), an institution of the Université Euromed de Fès, and the Moroccan Association for Oral-Dental Prevention (AMPBD) met with Dental Medicine students for a first awareness-raising session this Friday, September 15, 2024.

As part of the integration week activities, the Euromed Faculty of Dental Medicine hosted the Moroccan Association for Oral-Dental Prevention (AMPBD) at the UEMF Eco-campus on Friday, September 15, 2024. This meeting allowed the Faculty's new students to discover good practices related to oral-dental health as well as effective prevention measures. This meeting was also an opportunity to introduce our future doctors to the importance of their involvement in associative work.

During this meeting, a detailed presentation of AMPBD's actions was unveiled, highlighting promising initiatives such as prevention actions, dental caravans, awareness campaigns, educational programs, as well as targeted actions in schools and institutions in the city of Fez in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Social Protection.

Subsequently, two enriching workshops were organized during this event with the participation of doctors from the AMPBD sections of the city of Fez, Larache, and Berkane. The first workshop addressed oral-dental health as a whole, highlighting the importance of regular care and preventive measures to maintain good long-term health. The second workshop focused on different toothbrushing methods, emphasizing the importance of good oral hygiene for an individual's health.

Following this meeting, the Euromed Faculty of Dental Medicine and the Moroccan Association for Oral-Dental Prevention (AMPBD) signed a strategic partnership agreement. This Convention aims to establish a sustainable partnership between AMPBD and the EUROMED Faculty of Dental Medicine in all scientific, social, and solidarity activities, promoting the joint contribution of both parties to continuing education and allowing students to integrate into associative work and participate in the various activities of AMPBD.

The signing ceremony was marked by eloquent words, notably from Prof. Salim Bounou, Vice-President for Research-Innovation and Partnership, Prof. Chakib Nejjari, Vice-President for the Health Academic Division, Prof. Amal Ouazzani Chahdi, Dean of the Faculty of Dental Medicine, and Dr. Rabi, President of AMPBD, who expressed their enthusiasm about this fruitful collaboration.
