The Moroccan Association of Occupational Health held, on the occasion of the 18th edition of the spring session on the theme "The sick at work and work-related illness", Saturday May 18, 2024 a conference bringing together experts and professionals to discuss the need to strengthen occupational health and adopt new laws to protect the health of employees. Held in Meknes in the Agropolis conference room, the conference saw the participation of various personalities, including the regional delegate of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection, the president of the Moroccan Association of Occupational Health, the regional director of the Ministry of Economic Integration, as well as university professors, experts and occupational doctors.
The axes of this session, rich in important, current subjects and directly linked to occupational medicine as well as its legal relations with the employee and the employer, constituted an opportunity to examine a set of characteristics relating to the law employees and their health safety through themes and presentations led by professors and experts in occupational medicine, doctors, researchers, judges and high-level professionals in this field.
What distinguished this meeting was the signing ceremony of a partnership and cooperation agreement between the Moroccan Association of Occupational Health, represented by its President, Dr. Moulay Hachem Mortaji, and the Euromed University of Fez, represented by its Vice-President, Professor Salim Bounou. This agreement, lasting six years, aims to exchange expertise and knowledge in the field of training and scientific research and to carry out joint projects. This signing was presented as a key moment, strengthening collaboration between institutions to improve the health and safety of workers in Morocco.
