Moroccan biophysicist based in California, Dr. Amine Driouchi, provided students at the School of Biomedical and Biotechnology Engineering (EIB) of the Euromed University of Fes (UEMF) with a broad overview of current advances in cellular imaging and the study of protein interactions.
A member of CxT Discovery, a research center integrated into the University of Berkeley, Dr. Driouchi outlined the main thrust of his work, shedding light on the mechanisms of protein interaction and their potential implications for biomedical research.
The speaker also discussed several experimental approaches and imaging tools utilized throughout his career, illustrating how these technologies now enable a better understanding of cellular dynamics and support therapeutic innovation.
The lecture also provided an opportunity for exchanges with the attending students and researchers, who were particularly inspired by his interdisciplinary vision and his passion for training young scientists. A memorable encounter that opened a window onto the future of innovation in biophysics.
