Professor Abderrahman Tenkoul

Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences

Mr. Abderrahman Tenkoul is a teacher-researcher and Dean of the Euromed Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. He also serves as:

Member of the Executive Bureau of the United Nations Chair for the Alliance of Civilizations, UNAOC – EUROMED University of Fez

Holder of the ICESCO/EUROMED Chair: Arts, Society and Civilizations

Holder of the UNESCO Chair: Mediterranean Interculturalities

Member of the Chair of African Literatures and Arts, under the auspices of the Academy of the Kingdom of Morocco.

Editor-in-chief of the EUROMED Mediterranean Mediation journal.

The author of two doctoral theses in Francophone and contemporary literature from the universities of Aix-en-Provence and Paris XIII, he began his university teaching career in 1979. Throughout his career, he held administrative positions at the universities of Fès (Vice-Dean, Vice-President, Dean) and Kénitra (University President).

Alongside his commitment to establishing training programs and project development expertise, he has never wavered in his responsible engagement in the fields of research, cultural action, and public debate. He is a member of several scientific committees for specialized international journals, as well as academic and intellectual associations in Morocco and abroad. He has a large number of individual and collective contributions to his credit (books, journals, dictionaries, and encyclopedias). His work focuses on issues of education, art and literature, and culture and society in relation to Morocco, Africa, and the Mediterranean region.
