Biography

Ibtissam Youlyouz is a Higher Education Professor, currently serving as the Director of the BiomedTech School of Engineering at the Euro-Mediterranean University of Fez (UEMF). Her career reflects a dual expertise, combining a specialization in hemato-immunology with a commitment to pedagogical innovation and applied research in health sciences.

His academic training is built on a fundamental foundation in biochemistry, with a Bachelor's and Master's in Molecular and Cellular Biochemistry obtained from the University of Limoges, followed by a DEA in Cellular Interactions and Membrane Transport completed at the University of Poitiers.

Holder of a Ph.D. in Biology, Health Sciences, earned in 2008 from the University of Limoges, she held a position as a Temporary Teaching and Research Attaché (ATER) at the Faculty of Sciences and Techniques of the same university.

Her research profile was deepened through two postdoctoral experiences. The first, at the Reference Center for Platelet Disorders at the Haut-Lévêque Hospital in Pessac, focused on the pathophysiology of rare platelet disorders. The second, within the CNRS Joint Research Unit 7276 (formerly UMR CNRS 6101) at the Limoges School of Medicine, enabled her to continue her work on the molecular mechanisms of lymphoproliferative disorders.

In 2013, she joined the Higher Institute of Health Sciences (ISSS) at Hassan 1st University in Settat as an Assistant Professor. During her tenure at the institute, she held several leadership positions, including that of Deputy Director for Scientific Research and Cooperation from 2020 to 2025. Her pedagogical involvement included coordinating several bachelor's and master's degree programs, as well as creating and developing initial and continuing education courses.

Simultaneously, from 2014 to 2025, she was responsible for the Settat Training and Research Center in Simulation (FoRSim), which she helped establish as an innovative training platform dedicated to developing skills in health science and technology.

Professor Youlyouz is a founding member of the Health Sciences and Technologies Research Laboratory at ISSS-UH1. She has supervised several doctoral theses to completion and serves as the principal or partner investigator in numerous national and international research projects (CNRST, PHRC Toubkal, ARES, etc.). She is the author and co-author of several scientific publications in indexed international journals.
