Biography

Abdelghafour Marfak is a Higher Education Professor, combining deep expertise in biostatistics, modeling, and bioinformatics with recognized institutional leadership.

He currently holds the position of Director of Research and the Doctoral Studies Center at the Euro-Mediterranean University of Fez (UEMF).

With over twenty years of experience spanning Morocco and France, his career is distinguished by a significant contribution to research and higher education.

He notably strengthened his expertise during a decade spent as a researcher with the CNRS unit 7276 at the University and University Hospital of Limoges in France.

Before joining UEMF, he served as Deputy Director of Research, Continuing Education and Cooperation at the National School of Public Health in Rabat (Ministry of Health and Social Protection).

Professor Marfak is an award-winning innovator, whose work has received international recognition.

This excellence was crowned by the awarding of the Jean-Claude Cassaing Prize for innovation and doctoral research, presented by the University of Limoges, as well as by the granting of an international patent.

This patent covers the development of an innovative mathematical formalism for standardizing data acquired from different flow cytometers, a technology to which he also contributed as a member of the Cytometry, Imaging and Mathematics platform at the University of Limoges.

Actively involved in the national scientific ecosystem, he holds several key positions, notably as President of the Association of Health Sciences Teachers and as a board member of the Moroccan Society for Health Products Economics (SMEPS).
