Biography

She holds a Doctorate in Dental Medicine, a postgraduate certificate in Oral Biology, a postgraduate certificate in Conservative Dentistry, and a university diploma in Health Economics and Professional Organization. She also earned a Master's in Health Sciences Pedagogy from Paris XII University.

In 1987, she was hired as an assistant in the conservative dentistry department at the Casablanca School of Dental Medicine. She earned the title of Associate Professor of Conservative Dentistry in 1996. Three years later, she attained the rank of Professor of Higher Education.

In 2001, she was appointed vice-dean and subsequently became head of the conservative dentistry department at the Ibn Rochd University Hospital in Casablanca.

In 2005, Professor El Ouazzani was appointed Dean of the Casablanca Dental School for two successive terms. In 2014, she assumed the role of Vice-President in charge of Pedagogy at Hassan II University in Casablanca.

Professor El Ouazzani is a member of the Steering and Monitoring Committee for the reform of medical, pharmaceutical, and dental studies. She also serves on the Higher Commission for the Equivalency of Degrees awarded by higher education, representing the dental medicine sector in Morocco. She has contributed to several projects within a national framework for institutional evaluation as part of the support committee for the development of a national institutional evaluation system. She is an expert for the World Health Organization, working on two projects: "Development of an Educational Center in Health" and "Establishment of a WHO Guide on Patient Safety in the EMRO Region." She is a member of the National Steering Committee for the Accreditation of Faculties of Medicine and Dental Medicine in Morocco with the WHO.

Internationally, Professor El Ouazzani is also a member of several committees, notably the executive committee of the Conference of Arab Deans of Dental Medicine. She was a member of the scientific council of the Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF) from 2007 to 2013, and subsequently an associate member of the AUF until 2017. She has been a member of the French Academy of Dental Surgery (AFCD) since 2014.

She notably served as Vice President of the International Conference of Francophone Deans of Dental Surgery (CID CDF) from 2005 to 2009, then as President until 2013, and has since become the General Delegate.

She is Vice President of the Association for Medical Education in the Eastern Mediterranean Region (AMEEMR).

She was involved in steering several European projects: a Tempus project on leadership in Higher Education Management, as well as the two Tempus Recet and Tempus Cremar projects, which aimed to strengthen institutional evaluation skills and implement the ECTS credit system in Moroccan universities.

From 2016 to 2020, she held the position of Dean of the Faculty of Dental Medicine at Mohammed 6 University of Health Sciences.

Since 2022, she has joined the Euro-Mediterranean University as Dean of the Faculty of Dental Medicine.
