Exposure
As part of the days dedicated to Andalusian architecture and heritage, organized between May 17 and 20, 2023, by the Cervantes Institute in Fez and the cultural service of the Spanish Embassy in Rabat, the exhibition “ Mathematical walk through Al-Andalus” has been scheduled for May 18.
It highlighted in particular the Alhambra of Granada, the mosque and the synagogue of Córdoba and the Real Alcázar, the Torre del Oro, the Giralda and the doors of the cathedral of Seville. An original and different way of presenting Andalusian heritage to the public, integrating with the help of technological tools (Exploria Ciencia, 3D Models, Digital Fabrication and GeoGebra), science, art and history.
On the sidelines of the inauguration of this exhibition, its curator, Professor Álvaro Martínez Sevilla, gave a beautiful conference on Friday May 19 at the Euromed University of Fez on the theme "Mathematics of Andalusian monuments and their historical and artistic significance" and following which a round table was held, with the participation of eminent Moroccan and Spanish specialists. Previously, on May 17, the film "The Builders of the Alhambra" was screened with the presence of its director Isabel Fernández who moderated a debate with the students and professors of the University" following this screening
